[The feed clicks on and the background behind Motochika is still moving as he's carelessly free-falling out of the sky, having turned on his SFC mid-descent. Though there's a flash of something as there's suddenly a large thud that falls behind him. The pirate however, seems unperturbed like he has to take care of this every day. Which, all things considered, wouldn't be a huge surprise, right?

There's only a soft 'hup' as he finally lands on the deck of his ship, a piece of tentacle laying a fair ways away from it.]

That was a hell of a wake-up call.

[He yawns.]

So... Can we eat it?

[He's about to turn off the feed - really, he only wanted to let the kids know he was awake - before he hesitates and thinks of something else.]

Ah... The pirate ship in the South-West quadrant is free for those who can't fight against this lummox. Let me know if ya need a place to stay, yeah? I'll open it up for as long as ya need.

S'not that bad. Ship got knocked around a little but I prepared for shit like this and reinforced it a bit.

[guess who had too much time on their hands before they fell asleep...]

How ya holdin' up though? I was out for a while.

[A thoughtful pause--but they have bigger troubles than this. So he'll give Aniki the key tidbits as he walks, ducking away from earthquakes caused by tentacles and other such things with abnormal calm.]

I'm alright. Masamune-san returned home. So did Red-kun; he's back now, but he doesn't remember.

[He thinks that's the most important part for Aniki--

Whoops ducking a table sent flying, still calm.]

[A huff. Two good friends. But he just shakes his head at that.]

With Red comin' and goin', I doubt it's been calm at all between you and N. [And it's actually mostly the kids he's worried about now.] We'll have a chat about that later, yeah?

Alright.

[It's been rough, but he's fine now--he has to be, and nothing has snapped him into action like people in danger.

He gets there a few dodged debris and steps later, wandering up the pirate ship absently, glancing over his shoulder to take a look at the destruction.]

[There's a whistle to catch Minato's attention before Motochika jumps down from the top deck, landing lightly on his feet, anchor across his shoulders.]

Hey kid. [It'a an absent-minded greeting as he's too busy looking Minato up and down for injuries.

... when he doesn't find any, there's a slight sigh of relief and he ruffles his hair.]

Long time, no see.

[Heh. He smiles, tilting his head, tucking his Evoker away.]

It has been. It's good to see you up. Even if it was because of a kraken.

[He retracts his hand and puts it in his pocket, shrugging idly. Still though, a grin stretches across his face.]

I'd be damn pissed if I missed this action.

There's plenty of it. And a lot of people who can't fight here, either.

Ahh, s'why I opened up the ship! It's not as big as Shikoku, but ain't like I tryin' to house multiple villages so it'll work out, I figure.

[A shrug.]

You know if the natives are managin' alright? If not, they'll probably first on my pick-up list.

[He tucks that tidbit about villages and housing them away and instead focuses on reporting the situation.]

They're not. They can't defend themselves against this.

[He scoffs. It's all fun and great until good seafood goes to waste and the innocents get involved. A shake of his head and he swings his anchor so that it smashes right into the ground.]

Alright. You get set on makin' sure all the foreigners aren't freakin' out too bad, yeah? Those who can fight should band together to protect the ones who can't, who should be puttin' their heads together on how to stop this fucker.

That little committee of yours best be careful too- make sure everybody's got each other's backs. I'm already offerin' the ship if ya need extra space 'cause I'll be comin' back couple times and she won't go down easy anyhow.

[The orders rattle off his tongue simply and fluidly, logical statements that form a fairly solid plan.

... until he realizes what he was just doing.

And it may smack his ego for a bit but... he smirks.]

Well I mean- s'all just a bunch of suggestions from a no-good pirate. I'll trust ya here, Minato.

[Maybe it smacks his ego a bit, but not for long, because Minato's already nodding. He's not one to discard a sensible plan, so he's already building on it as Aniki speaks--]

Alright. And--

[Pause. Wait what.

...He appreciates the trust, but...there are more important things at stake, aren't there? More important things than who is taking orders from whom.

And so he lifts his chin and nods.]

Thank you, Aniki. It's a good plan. The caverns below the church as well--it doesn't look like the kraken can see into the bubble, so it's mostly a matter of getting everyone away from their range.

[What just happened will sink in later; there are lives to save.]

[A nod. He just wanted to make it clear that he's not planning on running Minato's show out of lack of trust.]

Advantage of it fightin' blind, huh? Well, I'm not sure how excited everyone'll be to head into caverns... but they'll have to put up with it. We've got our options, just gotta take care from here.

[... but well, he has priorities too so. He spares Minato another pat on the head.]

You don't overdo it either. You know where your room is if you need to take a breather anywhere.

[A nod; again, it's something that'll sink in fully a bit later, but for now he accepts and continues, as he always does when the situation calls for it. Adaptability is by far his greatest trait.]

[Because overdoing it won't help anyone in a fight like this.]

Organization is most important, so I'll try to get in contact with everyone.

[They have to get everyone to work properly together. But--]

You mean it ain't obvious? There're people out there without SFCs who can't receive these nice little info updates, kid. I gotta go make sure they don't end up too badly in trouble. Gotta check up on the rest of the kids too. I've been out for too long for it to be easily forgivable.
